Emotional abuse is more common than you might think. The victim often has a difficult time recognizing it because of the various manipulations that are used to inflict it. However, it is imperative that you understand it’s signs and how to thwart it, because it is in fact a form of domestic violence.
Emotional abuse can be generally defined as using manipulation, fear, intimidation and guilt (among other things) to control someone and undermine their self-confidence, self importance, and ability to get along competently in life. The reason it causes so much confusion is because it can be subtle and elusive. People often don’t realize it is happening to them, no matter how smart, capable or self-aware they are.
Have you experienced abusive behavior at some point in your life from a loved one, co-worker, friend or anyone else? Do you know how to identify such behavior and protect yourself from it?
Are you or a loved one the victim of emotional and/or psychological abuse? Do you feel confused as to the best way to deal with the situation? Do you have a difficult time recognizing people for who they are or for what they have in store for you?
People often confuse Self Esteem and Self Confidence. Many assume they’re simply just two different words for the same thing, but this isn’t true. You can have a lot of self-esteem and minimal self-confidence. The opposite is also true.
Having both is important. You’ll be more successful, happier in general, and happier with yourself if you can cultivate both qualities. Therefore it is important to fully understand the differences between the two.
Self Confidence is a state of mind, and it’s something that you can build up if you feel like your supply is running low. When you believe in yourself, you feel more secure, and you enjoy greater success.
Most of us have times in our life when fears and doubts undermine our faith in ourselves. You may experience setbacks that leave you feeling helpless. It’s also natural for self confidence to fluctuate from day to day or vary from one area of your life to another.
There are concrete actions you can take to empower yourself. Study these tips to put together a foolproof formula for doubling your self confidence.

Can you really manifest wealth with hypnosis? This is a question that comes up quite a bit in my practice, so I want to address it in detail. Firstly, the short answer is “YES YOU CAN”. Hypnosis is a very powerful tool that can help you dissolve all the roadblocks to success that have been set up in your mind over the years.
There have been many books written throughout the years that talk about the “secrets of the rich”. These books talk about how powerful the mind is, and how to make positive affirmations, yet they never really get down to the actual “secret”, which is hypnosis…and it’s really not a secret at all.
You can in fact build wealth with positive thinking. To achieve any kind of great success, you must first believe that you’re capable of achieving that success. Great sports stars can suddenly begin having lousy performances if they suddenly feel they can’t perform well or live up to their coach’s high expectations. Writers and musicians suddenly have their wellsprings of inspiration dry up if they no longer “feel it” or if they suddenly lose confidence in their creative abilities.
The same is true in our own lives. You don’t have to be famous for your boss to have high expectations of you at work. Our families also have certain expectations and if you cave under the pressure, your performance might suffer and your negative thoughts will infiltrate other areas of your life.
Do you need to fix your insomnia immediately? Do you crave and really need a decent nights sleep? Do you find yourself lying awake night after night in your hopeless attempts to get a sound amount of slumber? Do you find yourself nodding off in the day because you are not getting your 8 hours a night? If you are, then you are probably suffering at the hands of insomnia. Insomnia is becoming increasingly common in our modern day lives as we work and play harder than any other generation before us. So if insomnia is your problem, then what can you do to fix your insomnia immediately? Is there a solution to your dilemma?
Hypnosis can provide many benefits. It’s even possible to hypnotize yourself. Self-hypnosis might provide the breakthrough you desire. Self-hypnosis can change your attitudes, emotions, and behaviors. It can also alter bad habits or increase your self-esteem.
Many view self-hypnosis as a lack of control or awareness, but it’s actually the opposite. Hypnosis involves a high degree of concentration.
It’s similar to a meditative state, but with a different purpose. Meditation is about emptying the mind. Self-hypnosis is about putting new thoughts and ideas into the mind.
To a greater or lessor degree, stress is the underlying cause of illness. Whether it is physical stress, emotional stress, or environmental stress….where there is illness….you’ll find stress. Even organic illness such as the common cold can be traced back to stress. While we know that the common cold is said to be caused by a virus, stress predisposes you catching it due to suppression of the immune system. This is why some people are sick all the time while others can even be exposed to the virus yet never get sick.
At some point in your life, you have come into contact with a certain type of person that just makes you feel uneasy. You can’t quite put your finger on why, yet when that person is around you just don’t feel quite the same. They make you feel inadequate and weak. There is a name for this type of personality. We call them “sociopaths”, and they are the most dangerous people in existence.
